In the past week we have been in Sacramento to protest and show our presence to the State Capital. Capital Action Day was Wednesday, May 28th. Several groups were there showing support for each other. Marty Omoto spoke and there were legislative meetings afterwards. The day was hot.
Today, June 2nd, we went to the Capital again with a message for the Governor saying “no more cuts, find another way!!” The turnout was good. The message was loud. We went into the Senator’s offices with letters. We took out signed letters in one at a time. It made a huge impact!!!
